Thank you so much for your beautiful writing about Govan Old and of the prayer service on a Friday. Isn't it telling about our times that after 1500 years of worship, only a frail prayer service is left at the site that has now become a museum? Thanks again for embedding this thought into your text.
Thank you for paying attention to these details! Moving to hear of the present and the past reflecting off each other in the context of an uncertain future
I really need to visit Govan Old - these stones are magnificent.

Thank you. It’s very kind of you to say.
Thank you for your discoveries and your beautiful writing!
Thank you very much, Mike.
Your writing invariably inspires me to look further at (or sometimes at right angles to) the subject Peter. Lovely stuff
Thank you very much, Sara.
Small Finds … large impact.
Thanks and keep on keeping’ on.

Thank you, Thomas. I appreciate it.
The hogbacks are wonderfully strange and ancient. Thanks for writing about them. The last sentence is hauntingly sad even for a nonbeliever.
Thank you for reading. Yes, it makes me sad, too.
Brilliant, Peter! Thank you so much!
You're welcome. It's always a pleasure to write about Govan Old.
Fascinating. I love the hogbacks too. I’d love to visit there next time I am in Glasgow. Thanks for another wonderful post
Thank you very much. It's a special place.
Lovely post! Makes me - as an expat in Romania - want to visit. Great pics too
Many thanks. I appreciate you taking the time to read it.
Oh my goodness! Why did I not know about these? They are wonderful, beautiful things. Thank you.
Thank you for reading. I'm glad to spread the word.
I had no idea that these existed until you started writing about them. Definitely plan to come through soon. Love Small Finds
Thank you, Jane. I hope you’ll enjoy the church when you get the chance.
I didn’t know Govan only became part of Glasgow in 1912. Was it a hostile take over?
Ha. I'm not sure of the exact circumstances, but both Govan and Partick were independent burghs until 1912.

Thank you for reading it. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
